The One-Step Cocaine Test (Cassette) is a lateral flow, one-step immunoassay for the qualitative detection of benzoylecgonine (cocaine metabolite) in human urine at a cutoff of 300ng/ml. This product is used to obtain a visual, qualitative result and is intended for professional use. The assay should not be used without proper supervision and is not intended for over-the-counter sales to laypersons.

Test Procedure:

• Bring the pouched test device to room temperature (15-30℃) before testing. Do not open the pouch until ready to perform the assay.
• Remove the test device from the sealed pouch. Label the device with the patient’s name or control number. Lay it on a flat, clean, and dry surface.
• Hold the dropper vertically, transfer 3 full drops of urine to the test device’s sample well (S), and then start the timer. Use a separate pipette and device for each specimen or control.
• Read the result between 3 to 8 minutes. Do not read the result after 10 minutes.

• Negative: Two red lines are visible in the result window. The line in the test region (T) is the test line and the line in the control region (C) is the control line used to indicate the device’s proper performance. No matter whether the color intensity of the test line is weaker or stronger than that of the control line, the test result is negative.
• Positive: Only one red line visible in the control region (C) and the absence of the test line indicates a positive result. (NOTICE: A very faint line in the test region indicates that the cocaine in the specimen is near the cutoff level of the test. These specimens should be retested or confirmed with a more specific method before a positive determination is made.)
• Invalid: The test is invalid if the control line is not visible regardless of the presence or absence of the test line. (NOTICE: Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for the control line failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new device.
