Immunochromatographic assay

The COVID-19 Ag Nasal Swab Test qualitatively detects the COVID-19 antigen in human nasal swab specimens via chromatographic immunoassay.

Specimen Preparation:

1. The nasal swab collection method is shown in Figures 4 to 7.
2. The sample processing is shown in Figure 1 to 3 and 8 to 12.

Notes Before Use:

• Use a swab for specimen collection.
• The use of safety gloves during the collection of specimens is highly recommended to avoid contamination.
• Do not touch the tip (specimen collection area) of the swab.
• Collect samples as soon as possible after the onset of symptoms.
• Treating the sample immediately after collection is recommended. However, the sample may be stored at 2–8°C for 72 hours, though long-term storage requires freezing at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Test Procedure:

1. Before testing, ensure you have read the instructions thoroughly. 
2. Bring the pouched test to room temperature before testing. Do not open the pouch until ready to begin testing.
3. Remove the test from the sealed pouch. Lay it on a flat, clean, and dry surface.
4. Reverse the sample collection tube and add 2–3 drops (75–100 μl) of test sample by squeezing the collection solution tube into the sample well. Read results within 10–15 minutes.

Interpreting the Results

• Positive: Control line and T line appear in the show window.
• Negative: Only one line appears in Control area, no line appears in T area
• Invalid: If no line appears in the control area, the test results are invalid regardless of the presence or absence of line in the test area. Invalid results occur if directions are not followed correctly or if the test have deteriorated. Repeat testing using a new device is recommended. Stop using the product and contact the local distributor if the problem persists.
